- Flavor foods with fresh herbs and spices avoiding salt
- Offer prepackaged supplements when meals are refused or taken poorly
- Promote daily exercise, even a little bit throughout the day, to help stimulate appetite and keep muscles strong
- Plans social engagements centered around eating and exercise
